• How are the African-American students treated? Do you think
this is fair? They were treated like they was some trash and they was not treated fair.
• What happened to the Berry family? What does this event tell
you about racism in the South in the 1930s? He had a fire in his store/house.
• Would you like to be friends with the Logan children? Why or
why not? Yes, because the i feel sorry for them and would want to help them out.

Chapter 2 
• Why has Mr. Morrison come to live with the Logans?He had to hide there so he would not get in trouble
• What danger did the African-American people in the
community face because of their color? The face being treated like dogs and called a nigra.
• What might it feel like to be the victim of hatred? It might make you feel mad and frustrated and make you doubt your self down because of how people judge you.
